This Halloween Spider Cake actually really fun and easy to make. The “spider web” was made using Wilton’s black sparkle gel and the spiders are Halloween decorations I found at Target. I would recommend taking the extra 5 minutes to make the frosting – it makes all the difference!
Halloween Spider Cake:
- 1 box Betty Crocker Yellow Cake mix (you will need 3 eggs, vegetable oil and water)
Bake the cake according to directions on the box for 2 9-inch round pans.
- 1 box confectioner’s sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
Cream the butter and confectioner’s sugar and a bit of the milk until smooth, gradually adding the remaining milk. Then add the vanilla extract.
Frost the first layer of the cake until covered and smooth. Then add the next layer and repeat the process. For the spiderweb, copy the design above and then add the spiders.
Happy Halloween from Early Lingo!
